
Cooking with the Founders: Hungarian Lecsó Recipe

What is Lecsó?
Lecsó (pronounced leh-cho) is a classic Hungarian dish made with bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, and paprika. Think of it as a lighter, veggie-packed stew with a deep, rich flavor thanks to the paprika. It’s a staple in Hungarian households. Especially in the summer when the veggies are at their peak.

- Versatile - you can add eggs at the end for extra protein and sausages for a more meaty dish
The Needed Ingredients

Ingredient List ( serves 2-3)
- 2 large onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 bell peppers
- 4 tomatoes
- olive oil (to taste)
- paprika powder (to taste)
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- optional : 2 eggs and sausage
INSTRUCTION FOR MAKING LECSÓ

1. Cut your onions into small pieces.

2. Sauté the onions in olive oil over medium heat until they turn a bit brown

3. Cut up your paprika into strips and toss them in the pan too after your onions have gone golden brown.

4. Also cut your tomatoes into smaller pieces and toss it into the pan with the onions and paprikas.

5. Now let the vegetables cook for 10min with a lid on, occasionally stirring it. Optionally you can also add two eggs stired straight into the pan for extra nutrition.

6. That was it. It was easy as that, and now its time for you to enjoy:)
